What We Believe

We are a gospel-centered, forever-focused, multiethnic movement of God.

THE BIBLE IS THE WORD OF GOD

We believe the scriptures of the Old and New Testaments are fully inspired by God.  The Bible is infallible and the authoritative rule of faith and conduct for mankind. (Matthew 5:18, John 16:12-13, 2 Timothy 3:15-1)

THE ONE TRUE GOD

We believe that there is one living and true God, eternally existing in three Persons (the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit) equal in power and honor and upholds and governs all. (Deuteronomy 6:4; Matthew 3:16-17; 2 Corinthians 13:14; 1 Timothy 2:5).

JESUS CHRIST

We believe in Jesus Christ; God’s only begotten Son, the second person of the tri-personal God. The eternal Son of God became man without ceasing to be God (John 1:1-14; Philippians 2:5-11). We believe in His virgin birth, sinless life, miracles and teachings, His substitutionary atoning death, resurrection, ascension into heaven, continuous intercession for His people and imminent, visible return as King over all (Luke 1:35; John 1:1-2 and 14; Romans 3:24; Ephesians 1:7; Ephesians 2:1-10; 1 Peter 1:3-5; 1 Peter 2:24).

We believe the only means of salvation is Jesus the Messiah (Acts 4:12; John 14:6). He died on the cross to pay the penalty of our sins (1 Peter 2:24) and rose from the dead on the third day.

THE HOLY SPIRIT

We believe in the Holy Spirit, who came forth from the Father and Son. We believe the Holy Spirit indwells every believer in Jesus Christ, and that He is an abiding Helper, Comforter, Teacher, and Guide (John 16:8-11; Romans 8:9; 1 Corinthians 12:12-14; 2 Corinthians 3:6; Titus 3:5).

We believe the Holy Spirit convicts an individual of their sin empowering them to repent of their sins and confess Jesus as Lord and Savior (Genesis 1:26-27; John 1:12; John 6:37-40; John 10:27-30; Romans 3:23; Romans 5:12; Romans 8:1 and 38-39; 1 Corinthians 1:4- 8; Ephesians 1:7; Ephesians 2:1-3 and 8-10 and 12-13; 1 Peter 1:3-5 and 18-19).

We believe that the Holy Spirit gives each believer a spiritual gift(s) for the purpose of building God’s kingdom and bringing Him honor (1 Corinthians 12:7, 11, 13; Ephesians 4:7-8).

BAPTISM IN WATER

The Scripture teaches that all who repent and trust in Christ are to be baptized.(Matthew 28:19).  We believe in baptism by immersion, which means to be placed completely under water. We baptize by immersion for two reasons. First, Jesus was baptized that way (Mark 1:10). Second, every example of baptism in the Bible was by immersion. (Acts 8:38-39).

COMMUNION

We believe in open Communion to all repentant believers (Mathew 28:19-20; Acts 2:41-42; Acts 18:8; 1 Corinthians 3:9; 1 Corinthians 11:23-34).

THE COVENANT OF MARRIAGE

We view marriage as God’s divine design of a sacred covenant (a supernatural bonding) between a man and a woman. The Covenant of Marriage between a man and a woman is holy, sacred, and beautiful. (Genesis 2:23-24; Matthew 5:31-32, Matthew 19:1-12; Ephesians 5:25-33)

I know the title says "church", but what it should say is family...Relentless family. Relentlessly showing love, grace, support and relentlessly honoring Jesus Christ our Savior.

This is not a church about what you wear, what you do, or what you look like. Relentless is about reaching the untold and unconvinced...sharing the actual truth about our rescue.
