Children’s Ministry Director (Part-Time), Relentless Church

Job Overview 

The Children’s Ministry Director will serve as leader of the RC Kids Children’s Ministry (Birth-Elementary) at Relentless Church. The ideal candidate will have a heart for service and be creative, passionate, and motivated to connect with children and build relationships with families within those age groups. This person must have the ability to assist with and/or organize events that are engaging and speak to kids about the truth of God on their level. This person will take a leadership role in recruiting, training, and leading teams of volunteers to create quality programs and events. 

Job Responsibilities 

• Lead a dynamic and growing Children’s Ministry that aligns with the mission of Relentless Church and RC Kids. 
• Responsible for leading, training, and recruiting volunteers for RC Kids.
• Provide leadership and oversight of Sunday morning environments for children in Nursery, Preschool and Elementary environments. This could include determining / organizing curriculum, Large Group worship, interactive activities/games, organizing/scheduling volunteers, and communicating with parents about what their child is learning on a weekly basis. 
• Have a willingness to put together and work with an integrated children’s ministry team that will strive to implement a comprehensive plan for content and programming across all age levels.
• Lead and cast vision for creating environments, events, and programs that point children and families to Jesus, and that fit within the scope of the overall Relentless Church vision. 
• Build a ministry that intentionally works to equip and partner with parents to make them the spiritual leader of their children. 
• Responsible for managing RC Kids budget. 
• Takes leadership role in planning, organizing, and executing strategic events.
• Be an active partner at Relentless Church and regularly attend weekly worship services.
• Able to attend Staff Meeting on a monthly (or bi-monthly) basis. 

Time Breakdown (This is an estimate, however, tasks and times can and will vary depending on curriculum and/or upcoming events)

2-3 hours/week – connecting with and encouraging current volunteers, and/or recruiting new volunteers

1-2 hours/week – writing/editing and/or preparing curriculum

1-2 hours/week – printing worksheets/materials, cleaning/organizing classrooms, shopping for, setting up & putting away supplies

1-2 hours/week – Planning Center and scheduling

1 hour/week – working on upcoming events

4-5 hours/week – Leading/executing RC Kids services on Sundays

Total: 15 hours/week at $20hr
